So today [livejournal.com profile] titti and her girls took me into the city to show me some of the sights and let me be one of those annoying tourists that are all over New York. We stopped for brunch and then we were headed through town to see some sights and we passed by the Federal Building, and we stopped a little park space and Titti was telling me how White Collar sometimes films there, and then we actually look and you guys... White Collar was filming right then!

Matt Bomer and Willie Garson were right there being fabulous and just ha it was amazing and just so perfect. The man is just as gorgeous in person as he is in pictures. And speaking of pictures I snapped a few, which I shall share under the cut.

Oh god I loved it, just ... ugh, I want to see it again in the morning, though I won't ... but man.

I got a haircut today, I'd been trying to grow my hair out so I could put it up cause OMG it's August in Texas and we do heat. But it just wasn't happening, soooo I cut it all off pretty much. It's the shortest hair style I've had since I was 9 and I wanted to get a perm for a good report card and the stylist used too much of the chemicals on my hair and fried it and we had to get it all cut off lest I go around being the only girl with an afro in the 4th grade.

I think the top may still be just a bit too long making it kinda puffy so I look like a dweeb, but meh. It's just hair, and I can get it re-cut if I feel the need after a few days to get used to it.

In other news, we're going out of town tomorrow, up to the Arlington/Ft. Worth area tomorrow to check out some schools and then up to Lubbock on Friday to check out Tech, and then I suppose it's back on Satuday? I dunno, no one really tells me what we're doing until the last minute anyway.

Also, Inception fandom? Dudes it's huge, and kind of pumping out stuff like mad, it's a little ridic and fabulous.

And my big bang to do list keeps on growing, I swear ... I know I called it back in January but this really is turning out to be the year of the big bang. I've all ready got a few on my list I'm crossing off for next year, some people just really shouldn't be running these challenges. But there are plenty more to take their place if I feel like being just as insane next year. We'll see.

OMG also, this song by Adam ... fuck, just like ... seriously listen and die.

And urgh, my userpic subscription is up like next week, bleh, but that means I can upgrade and get some more space when I fix that soon. Must remember.

Now I need to finish packing and go to bed, we're leaving by 7:30 tomorrow morning D: D:

Cut for spoilers )

talked to mom about going to talk to a doctor, she's helping me find someone on our insurance and stuff so maybe soonish there will be more progress in that department.

Been playing lots of mario kart with the family recently, that game turns people into potty mouths - for real.

Tomorrow is game night with some friends, I have been looking forward to that since last week, going to make my world famous mac and cheese and bring apples to apples and hopefully much fun and good food will be had by everyone.

And um yeah ... sleepy time yes maybe?

Today was a good day. I got to drive down to San Antonio to spend a good part of the day with my best friend, she and I went out to lunch and this nice little Mexican grill, then we browsed the most girly shop I've ever been in before called Charming Charlie's. My goodness this place was fabulous, and if I were the sort of girl to accessorize it would have been even better. As it was I was having a good time with all the clutches - I love me a good clutch.

And after browsing and oohing and aahing over all the jewelry for a while it was off to the movies where we saw Twilight. And I have to say, for all the negative reviews I've been reading, I loved this movie. It was perfect and cheesy and it was just a very enjoyable viewing experience. My friend and I did lots of laughing at inappropriate moments and just generally having a good time.

Of course the traffic out of San Antonio this evening, not so much fun.

I might have gone to the movies again when I got back in town tonight. My sister, she had no one to go see twilight with, and what was I supposed to do I ask you? I was a good big sister and took her to the movies tonight. And it was just as good the second time around. Heh.

I am feeling very ambitious with my [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_xmas prompt, and I am hoping to actually write something pretty substantial. We'll see, but I have big plans and they could work out wonderfully or just be completely terrible, for now it's a toss up.

Tomorrow shall be filled with cleaning and such, preparing for Thanksgiving, and the family which shall descend upon the house on Thursday.

TMI Question: If while you were out of town for the afternoon, your mother was cleaning house, and you come home to find that the box in which you'd been keeping an X-rated item of the silicon variety was suddenly missing. What would you do?

Other important information to note: The shoe box in question was later found - empty, your mother has not mentioned anything about the objects found therein - but said object is still missing.
