The Girl With The Eyes

At scifiland we had a challenge to create a top 10 list for a show in the scifi genre. Soooo that gave me a lot of options, and since I've got a little downtime between hospital runs I thought I'd put this up real quick today. Firefly is pretty much my greatest scifi love, the first scifi show I got involved with in fandom, I actually watched the movie before I watched the show. My ex made me watch it several years ago, and I only really wanted to watch more for the music cause it was fabulous.

And then I started watching the show and I fell in love with the characters. And the story and it was just such a shame it never got it's chance as a show. I really feel like it was the best of anything Whedon has done and, with the exception of Dr. Horrible, he hasn't been able to come up with anything as great before or since.

I has a headache and I am up way past my bedtime. And do you know why? Because I decided I needed to make a new wallpaper for myself tonight, which of course invariably leads to browsing through pictures and tutorials and such and yeah now here we are at 4am. But I have a wallpaper. I'm not sure I am completely happy with it yet, but it's pretty either way so that's the important part.

So you should look at it, and tell me how you think it could be improved. I think the text might be too big.

In other news, I want my new computer, it has still not arrived and I am full of woe, not supposed to arrive until the 18th, but I am just not that patient especially when it comes to shiny.

so rather than writing fic like i'm supposed to i've been making icons again. I had every intention of finishing a fic i've been working on for a while tonight, but did i? nope i made icons instead though they are hp related. I saw that potterpuffs was going on hiatus but she rec'd hp_pens. i'd never seen it before so after seeing how cute they were i had to make some icons, so go check them out over at my icon journal kat_tastic.

And i will hopefully have a fic update tomorrow. i will no longer procrastinate on everything including: school papers, christmas stuff, fic writing and anything else that could possibly be procrastinated *crosses fingers*

I like color bars but i've never been able to find one i really like so tonight i decided to make one. I rounded up a bunch of pictures and just kind of winged it and thus the "Hermione/Weasleys is love" color bar was born
