The Girl With The Eyes

Nanowrimo has started! And I won't lie, I'm kind of freaking out a little bit - because haha yeah 50,000 words on top of all the other writing I have to do this month? This could lead to more than a little insanity before the month is up.

So far though it's going well, but yeah it's been one day - so I mean, how bad could it have gone?

Probably very. But we won't talk about that.

Halloween was fun times, there was a mohawk which was excellent, and I had a good time, probably one of the best halloweens I've had in years. Sooo yes, month of insanity, what else is new?

We bought a house today guys. We get the keys tomorrow, and then we are getting the carpets clean and then we start moving in.

I am writing some advent drabbles, I'll likely post them in batches at the end of the week.

I have been dying of illness, and sleeping so much, I am hoping to be well tomorrow.

mini_nanowrimo is over, and I missed a few days due to my own fail, but I think I made the overall word count for the month like I did last year. One day I will be able to do the writing every day. And then I'll work my way up to the real NaNoWriMo.

Another day of the mini_nanowrimo, I am starting to think that the 200 words a day commitment might just do me in. I've made it alright so far - but I am failing at actually writing the fic I want to be writing.

But hey I wrote a drabble! For the first time in forever. It's Dean/Castiel-ish. Actually it's like Sam/Dean with a pining Castiel.

Today seems like it was a really long day, though not much happened. I stayed up way too late last night, and oh hai looks like I'm doing that again tonight, though I've still got 2 more hours before I beat last night's record.

My sister is home from school for the weekend - I'm pretty sure she's been here or we've gone up there ever 2 weeks since she's started at Baylor, it's a little ridic, no one came and saw me this often when I went away to college, they were too busy moving my stuff into the garage, no I'm not bitter.

It's good to see her though, we're getting to the point where we can interact more on a friend to friend basis rather than a big sister to little sister, and it's fun getting to know her as a young adult and not just my little sister.

We went out to dinner, and then came back to the house.

Where we played Apples to Apples and then taught my sister's friends how to play Schwimmen which is a card game which is much fun.

And then I was helping my sister with her computer, cause that's what I get to do when she comes home, and then everyone went to bed and yeah. I think I had a better way of ending this little tale than that when I started out to write this entry but I can't remember just what that was now.

Oh I know!

mini_nanowrimo is up and running again. It's an excellent little place for those of us like me who are completely scared about trying the real NaNoWriMo. You just join the comm and then pledge to write a certain number of words per day during the month of November, and the nice thing is you can write for any fandom your little heart desires.

Last year I did 100/day this year I've signed up for 200. How many do you have to write in a day to complete a real NanoWriMo? 1200 or so right? Maybe in 10 years I'll have made it up to that :P

In any case sign up, cause it's fun. And remember you have to sign up before October 30

So the mini-nano writing is slow goings. I think it's because of all the RP-ing I've been doing recently. Like I could seriously be getting a real Nano word could with the amount of writing I've been doing for that. So that just means that the mini-nano stuff is being put off till the last minute and my brain is fried when I do it.

I've been working on a longer Harry/Charlie but I think I might end up scrapping the whole thing. it's probably only about 2,000 words right now, but that is sadness.

My best friend is coming to visit me tomorrow, So I am very excited about that. I'm not sure what we're going to do with ourselves just yet, but it should be fun whatever we decide to do - I hear she's bringing the first disk of Torchwood lol.

So every time November rolls around I always get my hopes up about participating in NaNoWriMo, I've got tons of great ideas that I would love to turn into a novel one day. I'm always working at that sort of thing anyway, and the thought of actually deligating time for just that use is very tempting. Of course I know myself well enough to know that I won't be able to make the word count, not in a month at least.

Of course tonight I just found out about mini_nanowrimo, and this is absolutely perfect for me. Because I'll still be able to do more writing than I normally do, but I only have to commit to 100 words per day.

And that my friends, is much more reasonable for me. So look forward to that over the next month. I already know what I want to do, so we'll see how it goes :)
