Seriously you guys ... just like, IDEK.

It should have been decent, I had the house to myself for 4 whole hours and it still somehow managed to be crap.

First there was the dogs who cannot shut the fuck up to save their lives, and the cat is right there with them these days. Tonight I would have happily bundled them all up in the car and dropped them off at the pound and I don't even care how terrible that makes me.

Next, I was being good and washing dishes - because apparently this is how I keep myself from writing fic these days - and was putting away something and then bam this box of cocoa falls out of the cabinet and explodes all over fucking everything. Seriously. And the more you try and clean that shit up the more it spreads. So there was vacuuming and swiffering and wet paper towels and basically I had to take apart the kitchen and then put the whole thing back together.

I just wanted to wash some dishes!

Then, idiot drivers.

Followed by, returning home to find, one of our two sweet little lighted reindeer we have in the front yard was pulled up out of the ground and then mounted upon the other reindeer in a compromising position by our idiot pothead neighbors. Yes THOSE idiot pothead neighbors.

Seriously ... I don't even know how this was my night. I'm going to stop helping around the house and just write fic now.

Today was a very wacked out sort of day in so many ways. Least of all because I seem to be losing track of my days and thought today was Sunday this morning and then Friday tonight. Yep.

Thing the First:

Our neighbors. In the house next to ours lives a single mother and her three teenagers, one like 16 year old boy, a 13 year old girl, and a 9 year old boy. Ever since we moved here (in December) we've noticed that there is something a little off about the family next door, and then the 4 separate occasions there have been police called out to their house since we've moved in all of 3 months ago was another clue. Complete with one episode where they had a helicopter searching the neighborhood for this boy (it's the eldest in the family who causes all the trouble).

SO it was no surprise when we see there are 3 cop cars parked in front of our house yet again, well one in front of theirs, one blocking our driveway, and one across the street from their house. Of course when the fourth police car showed up, things got interesting. There were detectives outside talking to first the mother and then the kids, and then the county medical examiner shows up. All the neighbors are like out in their front yards trying to figure out what is going on (though we did our spying from inside) and then ...

THEY WHEELED OUT A DEAD BODY.

OMG you guys, a dead body, from the house next door. And they pushed it into the medical examiner vehicle and then all the police cars and detectives and things were gone. Sooooo yeah, that was crazy

Thing the second:

Saw Alice in Wonderland today, I really enjoyed it. We saw it at the IMAX in 3D, my sister who saw it first in 2D decided it was much better in the 3rd dimension. Ended up running into a guy I graduated with back in 2006 while waiting in line at the theater - it was weird, talked about how I had no job, he bragged about his 4 soon to be 5 jobs.

Yeah anyway that was weird, and my sister commented just how awkward it was once he'd gone - of course she seems to think any time I talk to someone I know from school it's awkward, maybe I'm just an awkward person? Who knows?

I think I had another thing that made today weird, but now I've forgotten it, I was distracted by [livejournal.com profile] idolmeta. I have no idea how I got sucked into the AI fandom, but dudes it's filled with someone the best writers and some of the most fun people I've had a chance to meet on the internet. It really is like the fandom I've been waiting for all along, which dudes it's RPF - but the people in it make it soooooooooooo good.

I'm in the mood to write some drabbles if anyone wants to request a pairing (from AI or Star Trek, maybe SPN if I'm feeling it)

So since I've gotten to see this ad so often recently I only felt it fair that you all get a chance to see it as well - since I seem to be the only one who has gotten the pleasure of seeing it, most likely because lj learned of my recent plight and is offering me the only assistance it can. Which is sort of sweet in a creepy way.

The ad of doom, NSFW )

in other news, I played wii sports too much in the last few days and now my arm hurts. We got really into it, ok. The family which descended upon the house for the day of thanks giving, are all gone and back to their homes, thank goodness. I give thanks for that, seriously.

And dudes, I need to start packing to go to Indiana with [livejournal.com profile] fate_envies_us on Monday. Also I need to find my coats, because at some point between Abilene and Austin they have all gotten lost. So all I have is one college hoodie, and being the Texas girl that I am I don't think that'll be enough to keep me from dying of cold up in Indiana. So let's keep our fingers crossed that I find the coats soon, or else I might die next week.
