Short break...
Jul. 21st, 2010 09:46 pm... from the chaos of life to give a small update. Opa called yesterday, he said he wasn't feeling well, and he'd tried to get into the doctor only to be told there weren't any appointments available until the next day. He told them he couldn't wait that long, so they told him to call EMS.
So he calls us and we take him to the hospital. And they were all pretty certain he'd go home that evening. Only they ran some tests and things and decided they wanted to keep him for observation for a night but he'd certainly be going home the next day (today). Well this morning and more talks with doctors and things and they've decided to keep him another night.
Needless to say this is all a little stressful/worrisome. We lost Oma last year, and she had seemed perfectly fine before it happened. And Opa has seemed totally fine recently, but it just worries me. He doesn't take the best care of himself and he doesn't ask for help - so for him to have called us really says how badly he was feeling.
And just ... urgh. So if I'm not around as much as normal, this is why. Fretting/visiting up at the hospital and all of that.
