The Girl With The Eyes

I always forget to update when things are happening, mostly because it's just a few things happening at once so I tell myself I'll make a big round up update at some later point and then I just forget.

But yes, busy week we've been having.

Dropped off my sister up at Baylor and got her situated in her dorm on Thursday this past week. I think she's a little nervous about the whole thing, but I think she'll be fine. Classes start for her on Monday - it's a little crazy to think about my little sister starting college... I am old :(

Got over 3000 written on my rpf_big_bang fic yesterday, hoping to add to that word count again tonight especially since I don't have much else to do.

I have really been itching to get out of the house recently, but to no real avail.

I did go get to have lunch with a friend of mine yesterday which was good, she and I really needed to catch up. So we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then went back to her apartment to talk and watch More to Love, that show is really terrible. And then I was heading home so mom could go to work.

I applied to work at JCP again today. It's been over a year since I quit working there, in Abilene. But in that year I have yet to find a job that would even attempt to make use of my degree. So I'm to the point where I just want to make some money and get out of the house some so hopefully my prior experience with JCP will help me out there and I'll get a good salary (better than the 6.25/hr I was making in Abilene, at least).

So yes, that's my life these days. Thrilling I know.

So today was the biggest sale of the season at the JCP, and they had me come in early. So all in all I was up there for 9 hours today, and good gravy I would just like to say that retail is not for me.

So hopefully there will be word on the new job very soon.

And now to the drabble for today.

Considering recent events in rpg land I have decided that I need to write some happy Colin and thus we have a happy Colin drabble for you all tonight.

so maybe it's a little lame, but I needed some happy Colin/Dennis tonight.

I realize I have been lax in my updates recently - mostly because there wasn't much happening ... up until this past Friday that is.

I got to go home and visit my family for the first time since February, so that was lovely - being down in Austin again (where I hope to be moving around May) and seeing my mom and sisters and even my brother. It was a really good opportunity to just recharge and relax and stop worrying about everything if only for a few days.

And then wonder of wonders, on Friday I got a call about a job interview I went to last week on Wednesday - and I got the job.

So the Mal is now a JCP associate. *dances*

So this week (mon-today) I've been in training and stuff and today was my first day out on the floor for reals - ringing up customers and such. Had one lady who was a real bitch, but apparently she's a bitch every time she comes in, so it wasn't too bad.

And my feet are killing me and I'm exhausted, but I am so glad to have a job again, I hated not having one and so things seem to be turning around finally.

Other sad thing is my paid account has run out recently, I haven't decided if I'm gonna renew it yet - partially because I don't have the funds, but doods I hate the ads on my page now - they are totally taking away from the beauty of BJ!
