For those of you who don't know, one of my sisters just got back from a trip to Germany (the same trip I took when I was in high school, actually) And before she left she asked me if I wanted her to bring me back anything in particular. I requested Spatzi as it is wonderful and it's impossible to get, without making it yourself, in the States - but alas it proved too difficult to bring back liquid.

And so my second request was a Harry Potter book, in German (of course).

And my gift just arrived today. She got me Harry Potter und die Krammer des Schreckens. (The title should be easy to figure you - even for you non-german speaking folks I have on my f-list).

I am so excited about it too, when I went between my junior and senior years I got, for myself, Harry Potter und der Gefangene von Askaban (again with the easy titles). This is, of course, my favorite of the entire series. And I just love that it's in German and I'm able to read it.

So I'm mightily excited about the gift my sister sent me :D

I own that one, omg. My aunt got it for me way back when. Until OotP, CoS was my favorite, and being able to read Harry Potter in my mother tongue... was, yes, cool, but really weird at the same time. *high fives*

Ohh, squee mcsquee. The only book I own in German is Die Vier(sp) Kidnapper, and only because it was our set reading in school.

I do own Alice in Wonderland written in Pitman New Era shorthand...

But enjoy.
