Curiouser and Curiouser...
Mar. 16th, 2010 01:47 amToday was a very wacked out sort of day in so many ways. Least of all because I seem to be losing track of my days and thought today was Sunday this morning and then Friday tonight. Yep.
Thing the First:
Our neighbors. In the house next to ours lives a single mother and her three teenagers, one like 16 year old boy, a 13 year old girl, and a 9 year old boy. Ever since we moved here (in December) we've noticed that there is something a little off about the family next door, and then the 4 separate occasions there have been police called out to their house since we've moved in all of 3 months ago was another clue. Complete with one episode where they had a helicopter searching the neighborhood for this boy (it's the eldest in the family who causes all the trouble).
SO it was no surprise when we see there are 3 cop cars parked in front of our house yet again, well one in front of theirs, one blocking our driveway, and one across the street from their house. Of course when the fourth police car showed up, things got interesting. There were detectives outside talking to first the mother and then the kids, and then the county medical examiner shows up. All the neighbors are like out in their front yards trying to figure out what is going on (though we did our spying from inside) and then ...
THEY WHEELED OUT A DEAD BODY.
OMG you guys, a dead body, from the house next door. And they pushed it into the medical examiner vehicle and then all the police cars and detectives and things were gone. Sooooo yeah, that was crazy
Thing the second:
Saw Alice in Wonderland today, I really enjoyed it. We saw it at the IMAX in 3D, my sister who saw it first in 2D decided it was much better in the 3rd dimension. Ended up running into a guy I graduated with back in 2006 while waiting in line at the theater - it was weird, talked about how I had no job, he bragged about his 4 soon to be 5 jobs.
Yeah anyway that was weird, and my sister commented just how awkward it was once he'd gone - of course she seems to think any time I talk to someone I know from school it's awkward, maybe I'm just an awkward person? Who knows?
I think I had another thing that made today weird, but now I've forgotten it, I was distracted by
idolmeta. I have no idea how I got sucked into the AI fandom, but dudes it's filled with someone the best writers and some of the most fun people I've had a chance to meet on the internet. It really is like the fandom I've been waiting for all along, which dudes it's RPF - but the people in it make it soooooooooooo good.
I'm in the mood to write some drabbles if anyone wants to request a pairing (from AI or Star Trek, maybe SPN if I'm feeling it)
