+ I think this is a really interesting commentary on the whole deal with LeBron James thing that is going on right now, and some of the underlying issues involved in the whole situation.

+ My friend sent me a link to this video today, and I love it so much. So I have to share it:

article completely misses the point actually-why the owner of the Cavs is upset, and why most Midwesterners and former Midwesterners are upset, is because he let us down. Now Cleveland can be in the news for another negative thing, thanks LeBron, it isn't about the fact that the owner is white and LeBron is black, that is stupid, sorry.

I know these aren't your direct opinions, but I really take issue with the way this blogger takes issues with the owner. People, both black and white, in Cleveland love this guy, because he's a Cleveland guy, he sticks up for the city. In the midwest, we tend to love people who do that, because cities like Detroit and Cleveland get knocked around a lot, we feel a sense of pride when one of our "own" sticks up for us. That, to me, is what Dan Gilbert is doing.

You are never for even a second going to catch me having any real opinions on the LeBron James thing, because honestly I don't care enough about basketball to have paid enough attention, in the past or now, to have any ideas of my own.

I'm surprised all of this is blowing up right now, but this is from an outsider, I don't know the issues with Cleveland, or the coaches or LeBron, I just think this article linked is interesting. And I totally think people of Cleveland/Ohio have the right to be upset about losing LeBron to any other team.

I actually remember years ago when they first scouted him out of high school (cause my ex lived in Cleveland, so he told me some of what was happening, and how excited everyone was to have this kid on their team). And having a player around for that many years a lot of people are going to be attached.
