RPF Big Bang

So the posting dates went up for the rpf_big_bang I am kind of relieved that both my dates aren't happening for a while. My art goes up on the 16th (I'm really excited for the art - and the fic that goes with the art) and then my fic goes up on the 29th.

And speaking of the fic, dudes I need a beta. I have kind of not touched my fic since I finished the rough draft and I know it needs some work. It's a little more than 25k though it'll probably hit at least 26k before I finish with it completely.

It is a JDM/Misha fic, in a post apocalyptic world, the main focus is on Jeff and how he deals with the fall out from the end of the world and slowly sort of builds a life for himself in this new world. There is character death in the fic, though anyone who dies is either 1. already dead at the beginning of the fic, and seen in flashbacks or 2. a bad guy, heh.

I've asked a few people on the beta sign ups at the big bang comm but no luck and I joined an spn beta comm but no luck there. I don't normally use a beta when I'm writing fic - I know I'm terrible, but I just can't be bothered when I'm writing for myself, but this fic really needs it I think.

If you or anyone you know would be willing to help me out I would be eternally grateful.

What exactly is involved in a beta besides your basic proofread I mean? I'm new.

Umm... I think it involves a proof read, and telling me what sucks, and some other stuff?

I am not entirely sure, mostly I'm just needing help with my grammar because despite all my learning it all goes out the window when I write. Oh yes, and telling me what sucks, ha.
