Her character is a forensic artist. She self-sabotages herself in relationships. (She was supposed to marry another regular character, found out she was still married, divorced, left her fiancee and got back with her ex-girlfriend and was then dumped by the ex-girlfriend...)
Bones isn't like the other crime shows, this one has more emphasis on the character's personalities. (I started watching about mid-season, 2 seasons ago...I'm still trying to catch up!)
