khuu_khuu who wanted a dinner party, (subtle) preditorial!Sirius, tulip(s), a kiss, and a prank. And also this is my first attempt at this pairing so I hope I didn't butcher it too badly. I hope you enjoy it.

“Oh they’re lovely Sirius, thank you,” Mrs. Weasley exclaimed as he presented her with a bouquet of tulips – her favorite flower.
“Of course Molly, it is your birthday after all.” Sirius grinned at her as he stepped inside.
The Weasley’s were throwing a dinner party tonight for Molly’s birthday; Sirius hadn’t planned on coming but he decided he needed to get out of the house. Being cooped up in that place wasn’t good for a man, Remus often reminded him. He needed to get out more, perhaps get find a nice girl for himself now that his name had been cleared. He knew better than that though; no self-respecting woman would want to associate herself with him. Sure they didn’t mind a shag now and then, so they could tell their friends they’d been with that man who had killed all those people so many years ago, but they never wanted more than that. So he resigned himself to a life alone, but going out to things like this to keep Remus off his back.
A loud crash followed by laughter from the kitchen caught his attention as he lingered in the front hallway. Molly went rushing past him to see what damage had been done. Fred and George pulling another one of their pranks he thought to himself. Perhaps this won’t be too bad. He made his way to the kitchen to see what mischief the twins had managed to get into, grinning.
It turned out that the twins had tricked Harry into trying their latest creation, and he was now chasing Ginny around the kitchen trying to snog her in front of everyone. Sirius chuckled as he watched Charlie and Ron try to stop Harry before he got his hands on their sister. He leaned against the door frame into the kitchen watching the chaos ensue.
That’s when he saw her; a young witch stood on the other side of the room stifling her laughter but at the same time she was trying to give a disapproving glare. She was beautiful; mirth filled her eyes as she laughed despite herself. Suddenly Ron ran into her knocking her to the floor as Harry ran just out of his grasp.
“Oh sorry ‘mione, just trying to get that prat to keep his hands to himself.” She just smiled and took his offered hand helping her stand up.
‘Mione? Surely he didn’t mean Hermione. This couldn’t be the same bushy-haired clever witched he’d known before. This young woman couldn’t be that same child. Yes her hair was wild like Hermione, and her laugh was like Hermione’s but this couldn’t be the same girl. He wanted her and he’d only seen her, he felt the animal within him rising up wanting to take her for himself.
He made his way across the room towards her, keeping himself against the wall slowly stalking towards her until he stood directly behind her. Gods he could smell her sweet subtle scent from where he stood and it was driving him mad. Maybe Remus was right, perhaps he should consider taking a woman for himself again; it had been such a long time. He leaned forward, and had to stifle a groan as he smelled the shampoo from her shower that morning. His lips were nearly against her ear before he spoke.
“Is that really you Hermione?” He let out the breath he’d been holding; it was warm against her ear. She stiffened noticeably, but she didn’t turn around.
“It has been a while hasn’t it Sirius.” She smiled and laughed again as Harry tripped over a chair and went sprawling across the small kitchen and Ron was finally able to pin him to the floor.
“Almost a year if I remember correctly. You’ve certainly changed a lot.” He let his eyes roam over her body. Slowly up over the soft curves of her hips and the elegant slope of her back to the unruly curls of her hair. Her final year at Hogwarts had done her good; she no longer looked like the meek demure bookworm, but rather a young woman full of confidence and strength.
Sirius chuckled when he saw Harry send Ron sprawling across the floor and then run out of the room to find Ginny. It really was quite a prank, one that James would have been proud of. He was struck once more by the musical quality of Hermione’s laughter.
He leaned closer to her, inhaling deeply. His nostrils filled with her scent and he felt the animal in him struggle for control, to claim this female for himself. Pulling her hair away from her neck, he let his lips brush over her throat lightly before straightening once more and backing away from her.
Hermione stiffened once more feeling the warmth of his lips against the side of her throat, but she still didn’t turn around. Sirius slowly walked around the edge of the room, his eyes always on the bright young woman Hermione had become.
Remus was definitely right; it was time he found himself a new woman. He slowly stalked around the edges of the room and kept himself away from Hermione the remainder of the evening. He knew she would come to him when the time was right.
He had found his woman, and take her he would.
