Cooking :D
Aug. 12th, 2009 12:26 amToday was a cooking day, I woke up with the need to make some of the things I've been planning to make for a few days now. And so it was decided that I'd made the Tomato Artichoke Tart. I thought I'd have it for a late lunch, but little did I know that despite the super easiness of making the crust you have to let it sit for an hour (still not entirely sure why that is) in the refrigerator once you make it before you can even think about rolling it out and then assembling the rest of your tart.
In any case, the extra time let me watch last night's episode of HGTV's Design Star. Heh I love those sorts of shows. So yeah.
But man this whole thing was so easy to make and it was so dang good. I mean taking out that hour of chill time, it took all of 15 minutes to put together, and once that's done you put it in the oven and wait. Easy Peasy. And despite my family's finicky taste buds they actually ate this and seemed to really like it - no one spit it out at least.
And let's not forget that I got to use the food processor for real, for like the first time too. So there's another accomplishment to go along with the great food.
( And look I took a picture of it too, lol )
So good day, next thing I shall tackle is polenta with shallots and portabella mushrooms
