So I am going back to school. Been over a year since I've taken any classes, and now here I am back at my Alma Mater, taking classes ... to become a teacher.
Ech .. It's a scary thought I know - Me, molding the young minds of the future and all that jazz. But that's the way it goes. And hopefully if everything goes according to plan I should be a teacher by this upcoming August.
I'm more than a little worried about that, but I'll deal with that when it comes.
For now I am worried about classes, mostly the folks with whom I'll be sharing a classroom for the next two months. Did you know I was an education major at one point during my college career. It's a true story - and then I took one education class and switched back to, my love, English.
The education majors that I came into contact with were so annoying, it was ridiculous. Always interrupting class to let us know how they could use something in their hypothetical classrooms, or sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience (as most of them were non-traditional students - and generally they seem to think that we all want to know about what they did with their lives after high school but before they decided they wanted a college degree). So that experience with Education majors led me to change my major.
And now here I am, stuck in a classroom for 2 months with these folks.
It's a scary prospect.
And I ordered a textbook online for the first time ever, so let's keep our fingers crossed that it gets here in the next day or two cause yeah, I kind of need it.
