Summary: The day the world ended. It came without warning and without even the chance of stopping it, no matter how much people tried. And they did try, even when it was obvious it was all for naught, it was clear they weren't going to be able to stop this, but people still fought - it was part of the human condition, stubborn right until the end, even when there is no escape in sight.

The amount of fail involved in creating this story is pretty epic. I loved, no adored the original art prompt and I really wanted to claim it, without realizing just how insane life would get these last few months. I'm pretty pleased with the final results, and the art that pandora_gold created is just so fabulous, I hope the story that it inspired lives up to it just a little bit. So tell her how amazing it is because .. yeah wow, and then you can come back and see what I've made of it.
